Well Known SEO Firm “Down Under” Slammed by Google for unethical practices
In the highly competitive world of Search Engine Optimization, it evident that SEO companies are "pulling out the stops" and using aggressive strategies to grab a competitive edge and better rankings for their firm. It appears in Google’s eyes, the Found Agency did a "no-no" recently with their use of "Click Counters" to optimize it’s rankings. While the Click Counter certainly is a creative idea to build link popularity, it was deemed a deceptive linking practice by Google. Consequently, Found Agency’s listings in Google dropped into obvlivion recently moving from the top 10 into the 50s.
I would have to say in Found Agency’s defence, that their "pushing the envelope" practices were only performed for their business with no evidence that they ever performed these practices with their clients. From what I know and have heard, this agency is a smart, cutting edge firm and I personally don’t think they should be black-balled for their agressive tactics in promoting their own company. They aren’t the first one to try to outsmart Google and certainly not the last:)
