Skype vs Jajah - The battle for Telecommunications supremacy is on

Over the last couple years… the rapid emergence of low to no cost web-based telecommunication systems have certainly made it easier and much cheaper to keep connected with Outsourcing Partners from all over the world. I personally use both Vonage and Skype to regularly communicate with my various global partners. I recently was referred to a new telecommunications company, called Jajah that is also taking the web by storm with it’s innovative, user-friendly and low (to no) cost telecommunication system. It appears that they are attempting to grab some market share from the giant Skype and the VOIP companies as they have already accumulated a million+ users over the past year and are continuing to grow at a meteoric pace.

I recently came across a great post via the Business 2.0 Blog that includes an interesting interview with Jajah’s founder, Roman Scharf, in which he explains  Jajah’s technology and how it specifically differs from that of Skype. Check it out here.

Whether you use Skype or Jajah, the exciting thing here is that this new wave of low cost communication systems will continue to feed the global marketplace and ultimately create a simple, cost-effective channel for keeping connected with business partners around the globe -  Very cool!
